Evolve chronicles the journey of evolution from "the void" to the birth of cells and modern creatures through graphic notation left up to the performer and director's interpretation. This piece is experienced similar to that of a storybook with live narration that accompanies the abstract imagery of the score to bring this poetic albeit comparatively short history of the world and its creatures to life. This is my first attempt at this form of notation, and all images were hand-drawn, and all text was written by my hand. If you feel so inspired to get six of your friends together after this performance, this piece can be performed by anyone!
